Family owned and operated 3rd party logistics and shipping company is seeking temporary help to catch up on a backlog of invoices that need to be sent out to customers. This company ships material, freight and various products for and on behalf of companies and individuals all across North America. Shipments of less than a load (LTL), full loads are coordinated and sent out via outsourced trucking companies, rail/railcars, ocean vessels and air for customers and businesses all across North America. A backlog has occurred, and invoices need to be sent out to get caught up over the next few months. Strong potential for this person to become a long-term permanent employee.
Billing Clerk Responsibilities
Assist with creating customized invoices for clients, review for accuracy and prepare mailing
Manually extract data from paperwork, email, electronic invoices, etc. Use MS Excel and company's software to generate complete invoice.
Cross reference cost of services with actual figures.
Double check invoices and maintain accurate list of completed work.
Billing Clerk Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree or higher in Accounting preferred but not required.
At least one year of accounting support work in the area of billing and or bookkeeping
Must have strong MS Excel skills and ability to create and use basic formulas. Must be computer savvy, will train on systems.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
