Lab Technician Lab Technician Job Information:
Located in Lakewood, NJ.
Temp-to-hire.
Dayshift, Monday - Friday, 2:
00 PM - 10:
30 PM Paying $22 per hour Lab Technician
Responsibilities:
Follows Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Procedures in a FDA regulated food manufacturing environment.
Majority of this job includes inspecting equipment and swab testing for bacteria and other contaminants.
Works closely with on-site USDA Inspector Pulls raw materials from cooler/freezer, including requesting materials from local storage areas/warehouses for sampling analysis and quality control (QC) testing Performs quality control QC testing on raw and packaging materials for key attributes such as color, texture, flavor, appearance, etc.
Sets up for sampling and QC, including calibration and maintaining laboratory equipment, such as refractometer, automatic titrator, pH meter, scale, CEM, color-charts, and other equipment.
Preforms QC testing on finished and in-process products and environmental samples for required attributes, such as pH, salt, density, moisture, particulate, brix, temperature, color, texture, flavor, appearance, yeast, mold, coliform, lactic acid bacteria and others as appropriate.
Enters QC test results into ERP computer system (SAP) Samples finished product (tastes), in-process product, and materials for retains, microbiological tests, product development requests, corporate requests, and customer requests.
Packages and ships samples as necessary.
Inspects production equipment and perform microbiological swabbing to measure cleaning effectiveness.
Randomly audits production line for key QC attributes such as code dates, fill weights, metal detection, and package integrity.
Follow detailed procedures and complete paperwork accurately to ensure safe, consistent, and quality product.
Clean and maintain all laboratory and Quality areas.
Actively promote safety and identify unsafe actions and conditions using a principle-based safety approach.
Actively participate in continuous improvement activities.
Responsible for organizing lab supplies as per direction from supervisor.
Lab Technician Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is required, some college a plus but not required.
Prior quality control or quality assurance experience preferably from a lab setting (college or work) experience is preferred.
Must not have any food allergies or dietary restrictions.
Must be able to taste various food products for sampling, including nuts, pork, chick, beef, etc.
Valid NJ Driver's license and acceptable driving record.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
