Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer for CNC Programming

Manufacturing Process Engineer for CNC Programming will create and generate Routers, Control Plans and FMEA's which identify the sequence, risk, and time required to execute the manufacturing processes.
The position will also initiate and drive continuous improvement for manufacturing operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Expeditiously create routers and work orders for new products allowing time for ordering raw materials and scheduling the manufacturing processes.
Manage the daily production activities for assigned part numbers including machine programming for 3, 4, and 5 Axis Mills and CNC Lathes.
Design tooling and fixturing including finding or ordering needed materials.
Work with set-up personnel, machine operators, and quality to address concerns related to the timely and accurate completion of work.
Assist Programming and Quality Departments in identifying areas of improvement in procedure, efficiency, risk exposure, and root cause analysis ensuring profitability by reducing cycle times.
Provide accurate and relevant research to support the purchase of new software, equipment, and tooling.
Work with suppliers regarding internal and external process control, quality issues, delivery risk, and price sensitivity.
Provide design feedback to customer engineering teams regarding print discrepancies, manufacturability, and cost savings.
Produce CNC programs in relation to schedule priorities.
Provide and maintain set-up sheets and CAD/CAM, Mastercam files.
Ability to work collaboratively in a lean environment with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Production, Deburr, and Project Managers.
Must maintain a professional demeanor, inspire, influence, mentor and promote a safe, positive work atmosphere built on trust and teamwork.
Identify training needs, tooling recommendations, fixture design, and implement best machining practices.
Must have solid understanding of quality standards and GD&T as it applies to aerospace & defense environment.
Time management, team building, detail oriented and accurate execution of the CNC Mill/Lathe programming for both NPI (New Product Introduction) and legacy work.
Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer in a complex machining environment.
Minimum 5 years of experience programming CNC Mills.
Experience as a CNC Machinist required.
Solid print reading and mathematics skills Strong computer skills 2 years of aerospace industry experience preferred.
