We are currently seeking a collaborative, creative and energetic Plant Manager to lead the maintenance/manufacturing functions in our Lakewood, NJ manufacturing facility.
Description:
The Plant Manager will report to the COO and will provide strong customer service to internal stakeholders in the manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
o Manage and guide Process Managers and Teams in NC and Assembly o Manage a team of Maintenance Mechanics, Tool Makers, and Maintenance workers in the fulfillment of project assignments, within budget, with quality and on schedule.
o Provide detailed and extensive technical assistance (Electrical and Mechanical) to maintenance on major machine breakdowns/issues.
o Provide ongoing feedback to the team for continuous improvement.
o Responsible for motivating teams, performance evaluations, and wage administration o Developing goals and procedures to ensure achievement in performance of teams.
o Work closely with the Engineering Department on projects.
o Assist in the assessment and management of vendor/subcontractor evaluation for consideration for plant services.
o Establish and implement the routine maintenance program and preventative maintenance procedures.
o Schedule preventative and corrective maintenance.
o Participate in recruiting, hiring, and training of new team members.
o Maintains safe working conditions and practices in the plant.
o Assures that all necessary staff attend required training in hazardous communication and safety as established by OSHA guidelines.
o Maintains the interior and exterior of the building and grounds in all seasons.
o Ensure that an adequate inventory of materials and supplies are available to support routine maintenance programs.
Review status of spare parts and requisition as needed.
Maintain spare parts history and implement and maintain inventory control.
o Ensures the performance, condition, and reliability of all plumbing, mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure efficient operation of all equipment.
o Provides fiscal management for maintenance operations to ensure proper utilization of financial resources.
o Assures that outside services are properly completed/supervised in accordance with contracts/work orders.
Requirements
Qualifications:
o Minimum of 10 years' related experience or a bachelor's degree o Minimum of 10 years' experience managing and leading teams o Management experience leading a highly technical tool room, production teams, and maintenance team.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
o Strong oral and written communication skills.
