GEM Mobile Health is currently hiring certified Emergency Medical Technicians for part-time, full-time and per diem employment.
We offer a variety of full-time, part-time and per diem shift schedules for days, nights and weekends.
We are looking for friendly, caring, skilled professionals who can make sound clinical judgments and will pay attention to the special needs of our patients and satisfaction of our clients.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for transporting patients from their residences in nursing homes and assisted living facilities to doctor's appointments, dialysis, rehabilitation, interfacility transport, and more.
Essential Duties:
Provides basic life support, including patient assessment, airway management, use of the automatic defibrillator.
Drive ambulances, transporting patients to and from various medical facilities and/or home in non-emergency and emergency situations.
Providing oxygen therapy to patients.
Lifting stretchers and securing patients for transport.
Communicate with patients, caregivers and family members in a compassionate manner.
Communicate with medical facility staff regarding patients.
Regularly communicates with dispatchers regarding transportation status and to provide critical information.
Document transportation activities, ensuring accurate information regarding the transportation is documented.
Maintain clean and orderly vehicles and supplies in the ambulance.
Cleans and disinfects equipment between patients.
Required
Qualifications:
EMT certification for New Jersey/National Valid driver's license (if driving EMT) Must have a clean criminal background Reliable transportation to and from work CPR certification Ability to bend/lift/twist/etc without restrictions Ability to lift or push 150 lbs Preferred
