What you'll be doing This Senior Engineer Specialist role will support for the virtual Ericsson Telephony Application Server (vETAS) production activities including software upgrades, feature activations, break fix activities, and troubleshooting issues. This role will also support other VoLTE applications:
SCG/vSCG, vEDA, vENM, & vIGW. The Senior Engineer Specialist is responsible for maintaining vETAS, which handles all VoLTE calls for 131M wireless voice subscribers. The Senior Engineer Specialist will also need to troubleshoot end-to-end VoLTE calls flows and identify the source of call failures, even if that source of failure exists outside of vETAS. This position will require on call rotation and willingness to work nights (50%) depending on the needs of the business. Perform expert level troubleshooting and debugging of both network and application system issues. Implement detailed project plans and provide input to weekly status calls with teams across several organizations. Implement tenant operations MOPs for patches and new releases with focus on reduction of mean time to repair. Run reports for daily KPI measurements and help engineering address capacity and demand growth on the systems. Oversee the reporting of service KPI and analytics for vETAS instances. Call flow debugging expertise utilizing IrisView, Wireshark and NetScout applications. What we're looking for You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. Three or more years of relevant work experience. Willingness to travel up to 25%. Even better if you have:
A degree. Knowledge of OpenStack architecture and networking with special attention on automation using heat scripts and Ansible. Experience at an operational level demonstrating skills with Linux, OpenStack, and Application Deployment as well as debugging techniques for the application and systems. Knowledge of IrisView, NetScout, wireshark, tcpdump, ping, and netstat. Knowledge of 4G call flow and capability to explain fundamental building blocks of IMS. Ability to demonstrate applied skills and working knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DIAMETER, SIP, and LDAP.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
System & Network Administration, Systems Architecture & EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
